Apply for ACE Problem Solving Sessions

Read this before you apply to ACE:

  • In order to participate each quarter, you must be able to attend both weekly problem solving sessions in their entirety.
  • Only apply for ACE Session(s) that match the courses you are enrolled in for the Fall 2017 quarter.
  • You must be logged in to your UCSC email to access the application.
  • You may participate in up to 2 ACE Problem Solving Sessions.

Applications are accepted from:

  • Proposed or declared science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) majors.
  • EOP STEM students have priority.

For Incoming Frosh and Transfer Students: You will register for courses during summer orientation. Once you have enrolled in fall courses, you can submit your application for ACE Problem Solving Session(s) after July 24th.

The priority deadline for ACE applicants was June 9 at 11:59pm.

The ACE Application will remain open until October 18 at 11:59pm.


 

***We are currently experiencing high volumes of applications. Please expect delays when receiving notification of your status for acceptance. Students are not permitted to attend an ACE session unless they receive an official email acceptance.***

What to expect after you apply:

  • After submitting your application, you will receive an email confirmation with a copy of your application submission.
    • NOTE: Please email ace@ucsc.edu if you do not receive this email confirmation.
  • ACE Acceptance emails will be sent out during the month of September, 2017.
  • If you apply after the priority deadline, expect delays when receiving notification of your status for acceptance.
